• Suma Global will provide a lump sum payment upon a First Diagnosis of Cancer, an Accidental Death or Dismemberment and/or a Hospitalization due to an Accident. You have the option to add coverage for a hospitalization due to sickness for an additional cost.
• Cancer UNICA is a broader cancer insurance policy. Its ample coverage includes benefits for 30 serious illnesses such as systemic lupus erythematosus, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, bacterial meningitis, osteomyelitis, and encephalitis, among others.
• Cancer Elite is a basic cancer insurance policy. It covers 20 serious illnesses including systemic lupus erythematosus, muscular dystrophy, encephalitis, osteomyelitis, and multiple sclerosis, among others.

• Lump Sum - The maximum age to purchase the policy is up to 65 years of age and this policy will provide coverage up to 70 years of age.
• UNICA - The maximum age to purchase the policy is up to 69 and it provides coverage for life if the insured keeps paying the premiums of his or her policies.
• Elite - The policy may be purchased by persons 70 years of age and older and will provide coverage for life, if the insured continues to pay the premiums of his/her policies.

Family coverage includes you, your spouse (married or a domestic partner) and any unmarried children, stepchildren or adopted children up to the age 19 who are financially dependent on the policyholder or his/her spouse and those dependents up to age 25 who are single and a full-time student at an accredited educational institution.

Elite - If you are age 70, you may include your spouse in the coverage if your spouse is between the ages of 18-70.  For persons 71 years of age and older, coverage is available exclusively on an individual basis.

Lump Sum-The coverage will be effective upon receipt of the first monthly premium. The indemnity coverage for a First Diagnosis of Cancer has a 90-day waiting period as of the first monthly premium is collected. The Accidental Death and Dismemberment as well as the Hospitalization due to Accident coverage do not have a waiting period. The optional coverage for hospitalization due to sickness has a waiting period of 30 days.

UNICA and ELITE - Coverage will be effective upon receipt of the first monthly premium.  This coverage will have a waiting period of 30 days from the effective date of the policy.

Suma Global- Depending on the selected Plan, this policy will pay from $10,000 up to $30,000 in a lump sum upon the submittal of:  evidence of a cancer diagnosis or a positive biopsy result for cancer as certified by pathologist or an oncologist certification. The first cancer diagnosis determination must be made after the 90-day waiting period has elapsed.

UNICA and Elite - Submit evidence of a cancer  diagnosis: or a pathology report confirming cancer status or an oncologist's certification.  The first diagnosis of cancer must have arisen after the 30-day waiting period. 

Guaranteed benefit for death resulting from an accident or if you lose one or a combination of two (2) of the following: leg, hand, or vision.

Yes. In the event of death due to a car accident, an additional $5,000 benefit will be paid if the insured was buckled in with the seatbelt.  It is important that this information is included in the police report and expressly states that the insured was using the seat belt at the time of the accident.

Yes, it pays in addition to what these coverages will pay.

This coverage will pay a compensation in case of a Hospitalization because of an accident.

No, there is no limit in the number of days.  The daily benefit begins at $45 per day depending on the selected plan. In the event the hospitalization is due to AIDS or a related condition, the guaranteed benefit is for up to six months.

Yes, daily hospitalization coverage is in addition to the health plan coverage you may have in place.
